Answered: crater with zsphere

Hi,

I would like to make a small crater with zspheres as you can see the pic 3. If I pull back the last zsphere a bit into the previos one, it won’t be enough (pic 1). If I pull it more, the crater will start appear (pic 2), but it looks non symmetrical, even if I use the shift key and the symmetry options in the transformation menu, so the last sphere is on the mirror line. What is my mistake? How can I do that?
Thank you

You need to turn on Tool>Adaptive Skin>Use Classic Skinning to be able to do that. But note that Classic Skinning may not give you as clean a mesh - you may find it simpler to indent the crater using the sculpting brushes after creating an adaptive skin.

Perfect! Thank you for your kind!
