Answered: Can't connect to license server

Installed zbrush on Windows and it launched. Since then also installed on Mac side (we are dual boot). Both platforms now present with message ‘unable to connect to license server’. I tried shutting down server in rlm several times and restarting. Any suggestions?

I’d try Support.

You’ll also get that message if all available seats are currently in use. If you’re just setting up your floating license, you initially have just one seat for set up and testing purposes. So if you try to bounce between platforms too quickly, you’ll get that message since the server holds the seat for a few minutes in case the original user starts ZBrush again. (This is to protect the artist from losing his seat in the case of a crash or some such.)

If you continue to have trouble, you do need to submit a Support ticket. If you’re still in the set-up phase, reply to the existing ticket rather than creating a new one. It keeps things tidy so that we can assist you better.
