Answered: Can someone help me with replacing/importing an updated model? Please.

So I’ve been working on a model of a human for the last couple of days and everything seemed perfect till I realized some small parts of the fingers were missing. I brought it back into Blender and recalculated the normals, which worked, then I exported the obj.

But now I want to replace it with the old one without loosing the division levels because I had already been sculpting for a while and its not done. I tried importing the new one and zbrush asks if I want to transfer the high res details but when I do the divisions and all the sculpting I did are all gone…Is this fixable?

Append the new version as a subtool to the old version, then use the ProjectAll function. Subdivide the new version the same number of times as the old and use ProjectAll on each level from level 1 up.

are the actual polygons missing in the zbrush model?

Thank you very much for your replys, I’ve never used that before that is actually a great tool to know about. It worked perfectly on the body portion but when it came to the hands the fingers came out really bad (I even tried to mask them before that) and it still does the same thing. Any suggestions?

Oh I think I masked the wrong hands, It worked thank you so much for your help.

Forgot to mention that you can store a morph target before doing a Project All and then use the Morph brush to restore any bad bits.
