Answered: Attaching body parts (Nudity)

Having problems attaching arms to body I created my model out of the new manequin and then decided that I would attach the arms and legs later, I have tried using the remesh and project all with no success, will I be able to fix all this when I retopo or am I going to be stuck at some point? Esentially the remesh fails at fingers. I have read the manual several times and learned about all the remesh and project all buttons so dont think thats the issue, heres is a picture. also tried upping the res of the mesh up to 512 before remeshing did not want to go higher so any thoughts on this? Also tried subdividing before projecting. Working with zbrush 4.0

I personally would use the lowest resolution level and combine both parts into one mesh with a tiny bit of space in between. Then use retopology’s edit topology feature to stitch the two parts together. Once that’s done you can append the new mesh to the original high-res model and project details.

Thanks for the quick reply Aurick ill try it and post my findings

Ok I tried doing what you suggested but that did not work, I ended up bringing in a new base mesh and projecting what I could and doing a lot of cleanup, still will need to do some more but here is what I got, essentially all the problems were at the fingers i did try different projection settings and nada. on a good note at least i did not loose all the work on the face and torso.[pers.jpg[/ATT]%3C/font%3E"][ATT=]pers.jpg[/ATT]](http://%3Cfont%20color=%22#9A9A9A%22%3E[ATT=)

In essence I loved using mannequins and have seen the movies in the future should I make a more detailed mannequin? or what can you recommend?
