Hallo All, This is a first timer for me sculpting and posting, so bear with me. I thought I’d try an attempt at Yoda because he’s a well known character, so if I get it wrong everybodys gonna be able to tell and that means I’d get great feedback! Especially if I’m going for a realistism, :o , which I’m not used to.
Also I’ve never tried SSS before so trying that as well.
Base Mesh was done in Maya,
Cleaned up and UV layout in 3dsmax,
Zbrush for sculpt,
cough Mudbox :eek: for basic colour map (boo…hissss… I know, but some features are actually really nice for texturing…:o please dont burn me!),
Photoshop for Texture detail. I think that’s everything! What can I say, I’m a fast learner! :lol:
Oh yea 3dsmax & Mental Ray for rendering as well. I’m gonna show my workflow from Zbrush to Max, let me know if I’m doing anything wrong or something doesn’t look right.
This was the Zbrush sculpt & with photoshop texture. Not the best of views, but sort of shows the detail.
I know this was a long one, but I’ve done a lot, but its still not quite there yet, I not sure I getting enough detail through from Zbrush and there’s something about the eyes that doesn’t look believeable to me, not sure what it is yet (apart from AO, or maybe it is).
Any crits are welcome, its how I’ll learn, I’ll try to post my updates as I do them.
