There have been a number of posts about accessing the lasso selection tool in ZB4, but the answers provided are not working for me. EX:
While holding down CTRL for masking click on the strokes button just below the brush selector and you can select the different selection stroke types, lasso among them. [My installation of ZB 4 shows 6 strokes. Lasso is not one of them.]
You can also just select the mask lasso brush with CTRL held down from the brush selector button. [I get nothing unless I hold both the Ctrl+Shift keys.]
This is what I’m doing:
- Go to brush palette
- Select the Select Lasso brush
- Follow the pop-up box instructions: Press Ctrl+Shift then click (left mouse button)
- When I press Ctrl+Shift, the Lasso Selection appears in the brush and the stroke sidebar; however, at the cursor, I have not just the Lasso but a Lasso + Square; i.e., I can hide but I can’t select a mask. If I let up on the Shift key, I get a rectangular mask. (Note: The Drag Rectangle is not selected, and I am starting to drag outside the model.)
How do I get just a Lasso for masking? In ZB 3.5, I just pressed a button. That was nice. BTW: I noticed there is a ZB4 lasso hotkey macro for download. Has anyone tried that?
