Another beginning

After watching a few videos of Ryan’s I decided to purchase Zbrush again.

I threw this model together, with a few 3d meshed sphere things. Main reason to try out dynamesh, which hasn’t been used on the model yet. I’ll update this to a full scene over the next century in this thread as time permits. All this to keep me at my computer…sad really.

I dynameshed the thing, a few problems surfaced, but hardly surprising considering the the state of the first mesh comprised of numerous subtools (sub tools by accident), and the fact it was modelled in about 20 mins.

Still a heap of work to do to it yet. I will say I am impressed with the dyna mesh and the dam-standard brush. So far I have only scratched the surface of 4r3, far cry from version .98.

Update. Model to be continued.
Edit: jpeg has lost a lot of detail

Well I’m not sure this is any better than the one above. A few problems emerged with the mesh, but that was my fault.
I will redo this one again when I understand Zbrush’s facets properly. Anyway this is the first sculpt for years… so hopefully onward and upward as I learn.
Likeness done from memory so not exact, and the umbrella is needed.

I’m still working on the above post… one day perhaps I shall finish it to my liking.

Here is a rough practice sculpt. It has been a few years since I have sculpted anything, so much to remember and learn. This is a WIP produced solely from whats left of my mind.
