But, maybe “they” need competition:
some days ago a Bryce-friend asked me (after I told him of ZBrush): “…and how does it render?”
All I could think of was “…lightning, fast as lightning!” Don’t know if I convinced him but: I just finished a Bryce-scene (some background for me first ZSphere-thingie), and it will render about 3,5 hours. How about looking who is first>>Bryce in finishing this pic, or version 1.5!!!
Maybe the challenge…??

You really have got to give it to the team at Pixologic. Whoever their marketing person is…should get a huge raise. Think about it…if you buy Zbrush now…you will save $100 bucks and get a free upgrade to 1.5. I have been in advertising my whole career and I took that bait hook, line and sinker. I bought my copy on Saturday night, fearing that I would not get in under the save $100 wire…and I did want to get my upgrade on the announced day (TODAY).
We have to be trusting…there are still over 8 hours left of Monday, but in my opinion…don’t hold your collective breaths.

I agree with you KenH…but think about how many copies they have sold just in the last weekend…absolutely brilliant move on their part…and no matter when it comes…there ain’t nothing better…so, you just have to wait and use 1.23

… well, if you dig just deep enough, you will find something good in everything! But, because I hate to be waiting in a cue >> I still consider this as a game, instant kind, low budget. Just wait until the first ppl will go nuts, guess we’re really up to some interesting posts!! :smiley:
