ANNOUNCEMENT: ZBrush 1.5 on Monday, August 26

We are extremely excited to announce the release of…

ZBrush1.5 provides you with exciting new 2D and 3D tools and functions (such as the ZSphere modeler – see sample links at the end of this message), as well as all the award-winning features already found in version 1.23b. In addition to new features, ZBrush1.5 also provides significant enhancements in nearly every tool and palette. You’ll get expanded and improved 2.5D painting capabilities, texturing options, and sculpting utilities, plus many behind-the-scene changes which make ZBrush even more potent!

ZBrush1.5 will be available for download in five days (by Monday, August 26), and registered owners of ZBrush 1.23b are eligible for a free upgrade. The release is being announced here at ZBrushCentral first, so ZBC members will be among the first to start ZBrushing in new, more powerful ways!

Here are some answers to a few common questions:

Q: Is Version 1.5 free for all registered users?
A: Yes (as stated previously), all registered owners of previous versions of ZBrush will receive Version 1.5 as a free upgrade.

In addition, as a thanks to artists around the world who have embraced ZBrush so completely, we’re planning an additional free bonus upgrade in the near future, providing additional features we know you’ll want to add to your toolset.

Q: How will I receive my free upgrade?
A: Download information will be posted here at ZBrushCentral on Monday.

Q: Will I be able to read my old files?
A: Absolutely. ZBrush 1.5 provides all the same ZBrush features you’ve come to rely on, plus exciting new ones. You’ll enjoy applying some of the new tools and enhancements to documents, tools, materials, textures and images you’ve previously created in ZBrush.

Q: How much will it cost to buy ZBrush 1.5 when it is released?
A: ZBrush 1.5 will be available for $399. You still have a short time to buy ZBrush 1.23b (which entitles you to a free upgrade to Version 1.5) for $292.50. Visit www.pixologic.com for more information.

Also at ZBrushCentral, you can expect additional companion ZScripts – free tutorials and utilities taking advantage of some of ZBrush’s new features, which themselves utilize enhancements in ZScript technology. Plus, look for contests and challenges, which will add even more fun and excitement to your ZBrushing experience.

Be sure to visit ZBrushCentral soon for a special announcement regarding your free upgrade.
