[Animation project] Not enough res for displace map

Hi !
I’m currently working on a high-res model for an animation project.
In order to animate the character, i need low/mid-poly models with displacement maps for the details, but when i export my maps, i can see that the resolution is not sufficient.
Here’s what i get:
http://www.noelshack.com/2014-24-1402742680-displace-differences.png

First pic is a softimage insight of the model with a displacement map from ZBrush. UV in ZB was set to 4096.
Second pic is the same but with 8192 UVs.
Third pic is ZB Interface with max subdivs.

I tried decimation master but it creates a 3-4 Gig obj file… I’m quite sure i didnt use the tool properly, cause the size of the file seems very unusual. In fact i never used this tool before and didn’t manage to find decent tuts.
The settings are 10% decimation, and then i used the “export All subtools” from DM while having visible just the subtool i needed.

Well anyway, what is the best solution ? DM or Displace ? (It is for animation)
If DM, how to use it ?
If Displace, how can i manage to have more detailed maps ?

Here are some pics of the ZB process:
Low poly used in Softimage (but here it is a zb viewport):

Sculpting in ZB:

I can do more screens of whatever if needed.
Please help, it’s quite urgent, i have a week to do setups and animation !
Thanks for reading.

That isn’t a resolution issue of the map.

That is an issue of not enough geometry during the displacement in softimage. I don’t know off the top of my head what it is called in softimage and it has probably changed since the last time I used it.

But the map isn’t the issue, its your renderer.
