I took a recommendation from a friend and decided to model Andy Whitfield (a.k.a. Spartacus). Currently I have just a blockout of muscle groups and basic armor. Comments and criticisms greatly appreciated.
I don’t understand your understanding of the anatomy of the part just below the chest :S
Well the anatomy work was a combination of a reference book and this image right here:
your mid section is pronounced to much tone it down, and don’t just rely on that one reference image, gather as much reference as possible not just of Andy but of anatomy reference as well because you need to have a good understanding on the anatomy , as , if you look more closely to the reference provided yours and his mid section is a lot different
90% done with the belt! Just gotta add stitches, cleanup a bit and texture it. (:
Brilliant start to this! I’m just finishing a sculpt of a Roman soldier myself actually. It is fun creating the armour piece by piece. I will be looking forward to seeing some more updates.
For the most part I’m done with the detailed part of the shin guards. I can see that it still needs polishing, but I’ll save that for another time. (Mentally exhausted. @_@)
Full Body WIP!
If anyone has any advice on how to do cloth more efficiently, please let me know. (:
