Ambient occlusion crashing errors?

Hey guys, dunno if this has happened to anyone but everytime i create an ambient occlusion map it crashes on me, currently i have one subtool which is a human bone with about 8mil polys. And i cant seem to render an ambient occlusion map? I am running the latest version of zbrush any ideas? thanks in advanced

Try creating the map at a lower subdivision level.

will it still create it at the highest level?

No but at 2 million polygons the AO detail will be much the same as at 8 million.

got it got it, now it seems like the AO doesn’t pick up very small valleys in the model am i correct?

No, it won’t. If you need fine stuff for something then you may find a cavity map suits your purpose.
