I been sculpting in zbrush recently, and i realized it has i belive the same camera as it did in 1.5. is there anyway to get a differnt camera in zbrush? in my opinion the zbrush camera is the worst i ever used, i am CONSTANTLY getting rotations that are just ridiculous. the tools on the side i shouldnt have to use them. zbrush needs a nice working camear like, maya, xsi , 3ds, modo. right now the camera seems like its a trackball camera but its not even that.
…No camera !
Just the objets who move in front of your eyes

The camera works very well once you get used to it, and the tools allow for precise manipulation. Just don’t make the mistake of approaching Zbrush as “yet another 3D application”, with that mindset it will take you a lot longer to get used to it. Treat it like clay modelling and use your eyes to judge proportions and distances.
ummm. you assume i am a newbie to zbrush? i have been using it since 1.3 or something back then. its always had a terrible camera rotation. it is almost like a trackball rotation, but with out all the control. i figured maybe someone did something for zbrush to fix the camera since its so awful.
ZBrush’s camera does not rotate at all. You rotate your 3D object in front the camera.
ZBrush 2 includes buttons on the right shelf offering two kinds of object rotation. One allows you to rotate the object relative to the screen, and the other allows you to rotate it relative to its local coordinates.
I’m with levitateme
the Viewport(object) navigation is aweful!
i love modo Trackball, mudbox is not bad too
wish this come in Z4
I’m not sure but I think the ‘Ridiculous rotations’ bit may refer to the
rotate ‘snap’ function (spacebar during model rotate).
That’s been broken since 3.0. It often takes me two or three tries
to get a model rotated to an aligned position, a real annoyance.
It worked OK in ZB2.
