Alphas blurry/jagged

Hi, im trying to draw a face on my object with alphas but they are always low quality (i draw on 1 million)

is it an alpha size? or is my object size? whats the importance of alpha sizes:o

Alphas should be 16 bit grayscale, otherwise you will see stair-stepping. Your alpha will need to be a good size (1024 x 1024 pixels minimum) if you are using it quite large on your model. Posting some pictures would be useful if this doesn’t help.

As a new learner myself, I had bad jaggies from Alpha until I learned you need to use the “blur” filter in photoshop on the image that will be your alpha. I think it’s Gaussian blur filter and I use number 68. That number works so well that I actually base all my alphas on the same base file.
