Alpha Stretching

I am starting to utilize custom alphas more in my workflow. I use them for material texturing as well as polypainting.

How do I eliminate the stretching when sculpting/polypainting with an alpha? The alpha projection looks great when facing camera…but if a little bit of of the alpha hits the side of a model, it will result in stretched/distorted alphas along the side of the model.

Any suggestions? I seem to remember a setting that would fix this?

Hey l1tay2, just turn on Back face Mask button (Brush > Auto Masking > BackfaceMask)

It’s incredibly useful for poly-painting with alphas, no more horrible streaks.
