Alpha mask?

Rather than just project an alpha mask onto the front of the sphere 3d ztool and thus have the same pattern repeated on the back, I want to wrap an alpha mask completely around the sphere 3d ztool, is there a way to do this? I going to do a deformation so I can`t use the stencel.

Select the Alpha that you want to use as the mask and then press Tool>Modifiers>Selection>Alp

The mask will be applied based upon the model’s UV coordinates and polygon count.

Are ther other ways besides what I mentioned and what you just mentioned, to apply an alpha mask to a ztool?

You can hold down CTRL and and drag from anywhere outside the object to apply the current alpha in a kind of DragRect stroke to the mask.
