Alligning edges and merging

Hello, I’m new at Zbrush…

I’m merging 2 Rings…they look like metal washers… when I insert the smaller washer into the large I want them to align at an end so they are perfectly flat and look like one washer… when I do this it always looks like there is a seam. How do I merge them together into 1 so there isn’t a seam and its smooth.

Appreciate your help

Still need help with this… I’ll try to explain it better… imagine 2 cylinders… one bigger and longer then the other… slide the smaller into the center… but only push it in until the end is perfectly flat… I can see a seam and the smooth brush won’t do anything to remove it. I tried unified skin and it still shows and can’t remove it with smooth brush after that either. I tried merge with subtool master and it still shows.

Thanks

A picture paints a thousand words. Maybe if you posted a screen shot pointing out the problem areas, it would be easier for people to understand the point that you are trying to get across. It will take some of the guesswork out of it, if you know what I mean.

I got the ends as flush as possible, kept playing with it. I see the inner ring had a very slight angle to it which was causing most of the problem…Used Subtool Master and merged them… and it looks good now but not perfect…Can’t smooth it or plane it as it keeps messing up so I’ll leave it… I can easily sand this smooth after the prototype is made…

I should have used Transparency so I could see through the parts… I just found it… its under Transform for those like me that are beginners…
