It’s definitely looks better!
But probably even more contrast? 
And also I think that black painting hide model details, probably you could brightened some areas of black to strengthen the volumes. And also possibly be better if all borders between body parts (like eye border) will be accented via color tone/value. Let me excuse if I’m too intrusive )

Looking good. Coming along very nicely. One crit. The breast or chest plate looks slightly effeminate because of the protrusion. Is that intentional?

Eof , took a while but there is. This is low poly version. almost 9000 tris, with normal and color maps so far, much more tweeks on texture. Hope you like it.
