Alessandro Baldasseroni, zbrush sculpts...

Hello gwainbarek, thanks for the links, those brushes look awsome. Going to give them a ‘whril’ (and of course, many thanks to ‘Mahlikus The Black’ for creating them).

Hello eklettica, I was hopeing you wouldn’t say that- But, I had a feeling you did (I have been to many posts, and nearly everyone does there hard surfaces in another app then brings it into ZBrush to ‘touch up’).
However, I have the feeling that soon, even what is created outside of ZBrush i.e. hard surface modeling, can and will all be done in ZBrush. Heck, I am attempting that very thing right now (since I am not using my models for animating). Many thanks for replying eklettica. Again, LOVE your style and the work you put into your models/tools. I already have your post bookmarked-:+1:
Best.

Gwainbarek (and again, Mahlikus The Black), you rock. THIS IS EXACTLY what I was looking for. Tested the ‘MAHcut Mech B’ brush and I am still numb-:o . Wow, it’s strange how it keeps a CLEAN line no matter where you take it on the Tool. PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT (as I jump for Joy!!). I needed a fix like this because I am doing door jams on my vehicle like jcsizmadi has done to his Police Car and Dump Truck:

After I went to his 2nd page, toward the bottom, I see he too is using this very cool brush to do the same. Man, thank you, thank you, thank you gwainbarek for pointing me in the right direction. Best.

ale_sculptey looks very different and much better than ralf´s matcap

cheers rod

@dragon
thanks,
pixologic should add these brushes to the download center,
i cant imagine sculpting without maliks “MAHcut Mech” brushes any more

DRAGON;
Can’t you just use Projection Master with an Alpha of the “lines”?

It would be nice if you could draw directly on the model (with an Illustrator-like bezier tool).

Hello,

You have right it’s not my YellowSculpey. All credit goes to Francois Rimasson.
I do a little research and here is the link:

In general I guess it’s better to post a link to the creator instead of posting content.
But this is only a side discussion, in the spotlight of this thread are your wonderful works.

Best

Ralf

Amazing Stuff! :+1: :+1:

Seeing that a lot of the models you make are for some type of cinematic, how high can your poly count on your models get up to? I was looking at some of your wire frames on your models and I notice there are quite a few polys that are being used. Do you have a poly budget that you have to work with or are you given free reign to do what you want?

Great work!
I’m curious,… are you doing this all by yourself?

I ask because usually there is a concept artist, or a team from ILM or Pixar doing the concepts!!

Yes you could use Projection master heck, even Spotlight/mask. But, I wanted to see if there was a DIRECT way to do so without PM and SL/mask and well, there is. I agree, it would be nice to have a bezier type tool. But anywho, as Stumpf pointed out, “…in the spotlight of this thread…” are eklettica’s “…wonderful works…”. Best.

Well done man glad to see your stuff up here top work. :+1:

Truly awesome stuff right here! Sorry i cant be so helpful or anything, I just want to say that your work is amazing!

hey, dragon, mask with the layer brush can make grooves like that no problem. damn alessandro!!! SICK WORK!!!

Awesome Stuff, Congrats on the top Shelf… :+1:

Fantastic work, Alessandro!

Took a look on your CGSociety pages, and your website. You’re so talented! It must be great fun to work for Blur!

I actually just finished Dante’s Inferno (on the lowest level), and it’s the first game of that ‘type’ I’ve ever played. I’m normally a FPS guy, but really enjoyed Inferno - and think it was grossly underrated. All of the graphics, models, animation, etc., were just astonishing; and I’ll certainly now be looking for more games of that nature! Did you happen to do any work on Dead Space for Visceral?

I’m wondering about the Lucifer model. Was that used strictly in the cinematic sequence, or was that the model used in the actual gameplay?

Great work all around!

Awesome stuff Ale!
I need to get back into it too

Exquisite! Very inspiring. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
