I have a bit more to post, and hopefully the other character artists can get stuff up soon…
Below are some more concepts and a couple texture maps…We painted the maps in a kindof simplified manner, not using a ton of fine detail, and making ‘ink lines’ to kindof fake an illustrated look…Everyone had to paint textures in this way, but the game’s shader had a built in hatching, which helped sell that effect more…While I like the look we achieved, and of course ‘illustrated, hand crafted, ect,’ was the goal, I’d love to see a more intricate detailed treatment of the content, make it look more like a Kurosawa film…maybe PS4, we’ll get another go

I love to see stylishly sculpted characters like these ones. Silhouette-wise, but also the angular shapes within, from facial features to clothing folds.
