Hello everyone, first post here.
I’ve started 2-3 months ago working with zBrush, had worked with softimage and maya. Still trying to get used to zbrush.
Have some problems with my model, don’t know how I did, (probably forgot to click) it is not polymesh and I’d like to have hierarchy with body and accesories. So I checked the threads about parenting and saw “transpose master” must be used. But transpose master gave me a warning “this subtool is not a polymesh.” Then I tried to make polymesh 3d but lost all the subtools.

So, how can I make body polymesh without losing subtools? There must be an easy option besides merging for parenting :frowning:

thanks anyway

when you click make polymesh and you say you lose all the subtools
what is likely happening is the new polymesh is made into a new tool all itself.

after you click make polymesh, it automatically switches to that tool. look at the tool palette(that’s right above the subtool palette)
you should see another tool, that is the original tool with all the subtools and the zsphere model.

you have to append either the new polymesh to the tool that has all the subtools or vice verser.

“append” is found in the subtool palette.

Thanks for the answer. later on, I did what you said above. Parenting is still trouble but anyway.
