I’m new to ZBrush and I’m also a 4th year Computer Arts student at Abertay University Dundee.
I’m working on an Honours Project for my final year at study, and I’ve though about working on a project that explores into concept art theory towards 3D Art as I’ve came up with an interesting research question:
“In theory of concept development process, is there an advantage on creating concept art in 3D?”
The aim of this project is to learn and practice the techniques of developing unique concept art in 3D space such as creating at least 4 characters with textures and submit a turnaround showreel as a finished piece for my project.
I’m also trying to find out if there are any advantages and techniques on createing concept art in 3D, and try to gain any personal thoughts from existed 3D artists about this topic.
So if anyone has any personal thoughts/opinions about this topic and knows what best methodes are used to create concept art in 3D (or both 2D and 3D), then please post them on this thread.
