Hey,
So I thought Id post this while I wait for my 40 minute preview of my projection from a decimated mesh to my clean topology from maya.
Im attempting to retopologize my zbrush model using the whole zsphere/adaptive skin projection workflow. I have my highres decimated mesh as the rig and my low rez newly topologized mesh in the topology secion of the zsphere. All settings are default except projection range which i lowered to 0.02.
I realize projecting can take some time from past experience but 40 minutes for a 1million poly decimation mesh being projected to a 4000k low rez mesh that has level 2 density preview…
Just wondering if the chaotic topology on my decimator mesh would be making this process take longer than a “cleaner” mesh from max/maya. Or if its my pc or wrong combination of settings :S
UPDATE: so i went back and deleted a subdivision off my mesh so it was more responsive in zbrush, and hense i didnt need to decimate it. The whole process of projecting this mesh to my low poly was MUCH faster. A density preview of 2 this way took like 5 seconds… previously with my decimator mesh it was 5 minutes…
