Adaptive Skin isn't shown

Hi there!

I have a problem with the good old ZSpheres. I made a simple chain of ZSpheres (nothing fancy) and press “A” to get my Adaptive Skin - but the screen remains blank! Whatever I do there is no Adaptive Skin. If I create a Skin out of the preview (which I can’t see at this moment), ZBrush generates a Brush with the name Skin_ZSphere and the expected skin is shown as the brush image. But when I draw the tool then again there is nothing I could see.
I hope I made my problem clear and I hope you can help me with it even more so!

Thanks in advance!

You can try the steps in this post>> http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?177277-Tool-went-gray-can-not-sculpt-any-more-Answered&p=1015997&viewfull=1#post1015997

Thanks for the tipp Doug Jones, but sadly this doesn’t do anything :\ When I draw my ZSphere-Tool on the canvas the RGB and zIntensity sliders are at 100 and they are still at this value when I change the mode. Modifying these values doesn’t change anything either.
I uploaded he zSphere tool, so you can probably have a look at it? Maybe I did something terribly wrong? And if it works in your zBrush then I know at least that it’s not the tool causing the problem.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any comment!

Yes, but ZAdd is turned off. Turn it on and all will be well.

That’s it! Thank you very much! Now it works as expected. But honestly this is a mean pitfall  I’d have never been able to fix it on my own.

Great. It’s not a common problem (I only saw what it was by examining your file) but I’ll add something to the online docs when I can.
