Adaptive Skin crashes consistently

Any tricks for making Adaptive skin work? Even Preview crashes on this model or even the beginning stages of this hat.
Any ideas? Thanks
Mac pro, Marericks, 8Gigs, late 2012 model, Zbrush 4R6 P2

Update: eked one out by lowering everything to the lowest level.

Maybe it’s the OS. No apparent problems here on Windows 7.

Adaptive Skin Crashes on Mac OS 10…9.4
Is a bug in ZBrush for Mac OS 10 I am using zspheres. Another of the “Quriky” little problems
in this very unique program. Support said it might be fixed in next version. Good Luck!
