Adaptive mesh ??? and sculpting with the move tool ?

Well I’m very new to the Zbrush world and have started to play with Zshperes, and I’m am totaly pumped as to how fast I can create basic models for use in 3dsmax.

My issue is after watching some digital turtors stuff on using zshperes, I see you can move and alter things while looking at the most basic adaptive mesh. (you know once you have some zspheres up there you simply press “A”) I don’t get that option? when ever I try I get these three orange circles, and when I mouse over them they say “transpose, reposition/stretch”. I simple want to be able to move the adaptive mesh so I can repostion things but when I do anything with the three orange circles it just jacks everything up?

if this dosn’t make much sense I’m sorry, I’m very new to the 3d world and learning all the time. Any help would be just wonderfull  thanks guys and gals

Here is a couple of links you may want to visit.
http://www.zbrush.info/docs/index.php/Understanding_The_Action_Line
http://www.zbrush.info/docs/index.php/Transpose:_Moving_a_Model

Transpose action line can be sort of tricky at first sight, at least for me, yes it was… Depends on where your mouse pointer placed, action line turns on/off secondary circles inside of them. As long as your cursor is located outside (no inner circles turned on), you are repositioning action line, not editing mesh.

I looked and read through that and as usefull as that will be, I don’t think its what I needed, I’m looking to not use the transpose line.

I’m looking to simply be able to push and pull edges when I put my zspheres on there lowest lvl of adaptive skin. I’m looking to move stuff so there isn’t any over lap from close zspheres. every time I try the transpose line shows up. I know its possable I went through the digital tutors 24 lesson “getting started with Zbrush”, and watch that guy move them around like it was nothing.

ty for the links and the help, that actually gave me another direction of stuff to learn.

Wish I can watch the tutorial so that I fully understand what is going on.

About ‘Action line’ that keep showing on issue, it is because you are in Move, Scale, or Rotate mode. In other words, once you’re out of draw mode, ZB think you want to Move, Scale or Rotate the mesh.
Two things (may be more) I can think of atm are,
(1) move the zsphere while preview is off
(2) (While preview is on) use ‘move’ brush with small radius size plus zero forcal shift to move point by point until result is satisfying

If you have ZSpheres in edit mode, then pressing A will turn on the preview mesh. The action line only comes up if you’re in Edit>Move, Edit>Scale or Edit>Rotate mode. If it’s just Edit>Draw there will be no action line.

i want to push arround vertex one by one, but instead, this action line keep showing up. How can i get “rid” of this action line an start pushing arround points on my basic mesh?

While in Edit>Draw mode, use the Move brush (found in the Brush palette). Activating Edit>Move activates TransPose, which is what you don’t want for this purpose.

thank you aurick, it worked, think that solved Kyoske’s problem too.
