absolute noob, probably missing something obvious...

Hi all, hope you’ll forgive what may well be a stupid question:

have been following the Simon Blanc z spheres tute and begun experimenting with the z sphere system, have roughed out more or less the shape I want to work on; however, when attempting to start sculpting over the top of the thing - with, as far as I can tell - the same brush/stroke tools as per Simon’s process, I get no build up of material onto the z spheres mannequin, just a lot of distortion of the model’s various bits and pieces. Have I missed out something really basic and obvious in between making the mannequin/making adaptive skin and then going on to sculpt?

Your question is kind of vague. There are 7 videos to that series. Which video and what time into the video. A picture paints a thousand words, so please post screenshots of the whole interface and at the point that you are having the problem and with the subtool palette open and the brush selected that you are using.

Thanks for getting back - newness begets vagueness, I guess; anyway, seem to have got beyond that little hiccup but thanks in any case. I was also being perhaps a bit too ambitious with my first ever attempt at things, but there’s nowt like diving in head first…
