Um… UT3 isn’t out yet. At least none of the online stores carry it and all the big Gaming sites say it’s still TBA '07.
But there are several Games out that using the U3 Engine, but i guess Roboblitz is the only one where you can use the Editor, coul’d be wrong though.(at least not with the games published by Ubi that use the U3 Engine).
I wonder if you start some levels in the current editor, you could edit them more in the newer one to add some more features…
Where to buy a new F5 button? The one on my keyboard has broken…
… I cant wait anymore
You can set Opera to refresh every 5 seconds automatically…
  RELAX
While we’re waiting, why not discuss how many plugins and scripts we are used to using will continue to work in Z3. Or how many of them might be built in to Z3 now, or how any of them could be updated with new functionality.
Which new features in Z3 or favorite old plugin is everyone going to try first? It’ll kill some time talking about it until the downloads are ready.

Been trying to find a new features list, but, nope. Pixo is keeping Z3 under tight wraps. Don’t know about you but I’ve watched the Z3 next step video like 20 times now.
The Pixollogic home page has changed… Yeay!!!
It’s getting closer!!

The absense of a comprehensive features list is crazy weird, but I just chalk it up to pixologic working on the actual program all the way up until the last possible second. Keep in mind, they dont seem to believe in the tradional model of “release now, patch later”. If zb 2 is an indicator, what is released is likely to be what it is until zb 3.5 or 4…so they’re probably polishing as much as possible, and haven’t diverted time to documenting features yet. What this says about any kind of zb 3 manual is uncertain.
Either that, or things really are that competitive in the industry now, that releasing a comprehensive feature list a week or so early would have been “bad”. I dont think they have anything to worry about though…it still doesnt seem like anyone is really close to being in zb3’s ballpark…they have it sewn up once again. Which also explains why they can be as primadona as they want, and release whenever they damn well please…
The Pixologic homepage has changed back to the gorgeous female sculpting… darn it!! I was getting excited - it said Zbrush 3 now available!!!
Where did I put my betablockers?
Jim
Damn, that is some hardcore dev-stalking. By the time I saw your message, it had already reverted. They should know they can’t monkey with anything without someone catching it, with everyone at defcon 4.
LOL!
I’ve been checking every couple of hours, just in case (even though I realise it will be midnight PST) and I saw the new page, posted my message, then followed the link to the “If you’ve pre-registered” link… only to find it was the “announcement” page… went back to retry and that’s all there is again
This is total torment… but yes, the best kind of stalking - total admiration, but none of the freakishness
One can’t be blamed, look at me I’ve got three posts already! LOL.
It took me a while to learn Zbrush2, and now that I’m getting the hang of it, here comes Zbrush 3. Hopefully to render all that I have learned over the past 3 years obsolete.
Here’s hoping ZBrush 4 adds support for keyframe animation! I only say that because like, how much farther can they go with modeling and texturing. ZB3 seems to have it perfected. Not to mention, who wouldn’t love animating in ZBrush, especially knowing how good Pixologic is at making tools specifically designed with the artist in mind. I can dream can’t I?
I’ve often had the strange notion that Zbrush and Blender would Hybridize and become ZBlender. Even though I am an Alias Maya user, give Blender some Money and some decent tutorials and ZBlender would be unstoppable.
Everyone in here is nuts . Its really cool to see so many people behaving like kids to get there hands on the biggest shinest present ever.
Personally I’m the brat in the front. haha.
Honestly it hasn’t been very long since I last behaved like a kid, however it’s been a long time since I felt like one!
I feel like I felt when Empire Strikes Back came out in 1980. God I’m old, but thanks to Pixologic I feel young again.
