About Group By Normals Problem ..................

HI all!!

here is a cylinder (perfect i think…) created inside Zbrush. what i think is, if this is a perfect circle, when i press “Group By Normals” , whatever the Max angle is ,i will have:

case1(large numder Max Angle): 3 group(two cap and the middle “barrel”),
case2(lower the Max Angle) : 2 cap and a few group inside the middle “barrel”.

BUT,IN case2 , the middle “barrel” split into a few groups WITH DIFFERENCE SIZE…?what i expect is “equal size” and i think this is the only reasonable result (because the cylinder is perfect).

this is the unequal result that i got :

recently ,i found that i can use group by normal+ topology brush + framemesh polygroup ,to help making a crazy low mesh without too much freehand drawing…there are few problem will appear:

the group by normal seem not work the way i expect.

topology brush and also all curve brush is unable to connect two point.for example ,if i have two line ,and if i able to connect them,it will be less than 4 point on the screen.

for example, this is a perfect sphere,in my understanding,i can split this sphere into at lease “6 groups” or more with different direction.

in picture 1,in seem to be work ,i think i can increase the max Angle little bit more:

but that did’t work if increase the max angle, all you get is one single group.

the other problem(bugs…??) is, the group seem randomly…

here is the other side of the sphere:

Anyway ,may be the method i try to use is wrong (topology brush + group by normal + frameMesh ).
