Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but I am sure the moderators will move it to where ever it needs to be if this isn’t the right place.
Up until a short while ago I have been having problems with Zbrush crashing just about every time I tried to save my Ztools, which as you may guess left me pulling my hair out in frustration. I noticed that shortly after crashing my hard drive would spin up and the drive LED start flashing (this was my clue to solving the problem).
I had a look at the Power Options in the Control Panel (Win 7 64 bit) and decided to do a bit of tinkering.
I set up a new custom plan and went into the advanced power settings, under Hard Disk, I set the switch off hard disk to 0 (never).
I now no longer get the message popping up telling me that Zbrush is not installed properly before it crashes to desktop as I am saving my models. My models now save happily and my girl friend is happy to be around me when I am working as the swearing has been drastically reduced.
I hope this helps folks
