A strange problem with Zbrush

I’m having a weird problem with Zbrush.

Sometimes when i open up the program, some of the default settings are simply… missing…

For example, when i click “Zadd”, the brush substracts material out of my tool, and on the contrary.

another example is that when i try to hold “Ctrl” and mask, the cursor shows “Mask+” but nothing turns black as i try to mask.

any ideas about what the problem can be?

Sounds like Zbrush assumes you had ALT held down on start up. Kind of like holding an analog stick in a direction and turning on a controller…that becomes that resting state of the controller.

Just close Zbrush and re-open it.
