A request about Berserk

Hi everyone! :smiley:
In many PC games like Oblivion and Dragon Age Origins, there is the possibility to add new armors and weapons to use in game.

I saw on this forum great jobs, characters really well done. So I have a request: someone would be kind enough to create for me the armor of Guts, the protagonist of Berserk? :wink:

What I want to do is create a mod that add to the games Dragon Age and Oblivion the armor of Guts, absolutely for free. Nobody will earn money from this. On this forum you can find examples of what I do: http://www.thenexusforums.com/

That’s true! I hope someone will create the armor, playing videogames with it would be create!

For example something original for a change. Sorry for spamming. I was just offering my take. I don’t want to create this one but thought it would be interesting to make a unique design.

there is a pretty well developed Berserk mod for mount & blade warband. for your personal use it would be possible to use the armor from that in oblivion. just a matter of getting the right file converters. nifscope and openBrf I believe. better yet, just play Warband - awesome game - much superior to Oblivion in my opinion and i’ve played both.

I played the berserk mod, but I didn’t like it. About the armor, the one in game is a different one of what I’m asking about. :confused:

Yeah if you wrote to him the same way you posted here i dont blame him.
First this isnt a request forum, and it isnt even low poly modeling or game art forum.
And even if somebody will make you a high poly model, there is still the low poly , texturing, compiling and getting it into game, thats if it dosnt have to be rigged or anything, since i dont know how oblivion engine works. Also it has to fit the basic body in oblivion so no clipping will happen, if you dont have to make another body just for this model.
How about you go to an modding forum, an oblivion forum, or place like that ?
I work on a big mod now, but i wouldnt go out of my way to make just one model for one person, since it isnt a part of anything bigger ;f
Expecting someone too put days into this just for you, researching all on his own and getting hand of the basic obv body is a pretty big stretch and kind of ignorant.

There is no need to be rude.

First, I didn’t ask anyone to create the mod, I asked to create the model (and texture, it was implicit). Rigging the armor and add the weight in order to add the model in game, it’s a work for me.
Now if you think that I posted here for stupidity, it’s your problem.
Obviously, if I posted here is because noone in the community of oblivion wants to create the armor. If you think about, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that asking it to the community is something I’ve already done.

I posted on this forum because I saw a lot of great works, but it is obvious that don’t pretend nothing. Ask costs nothing.

Asking dosnt cost, but the way you do it will cost you, you wont find any help with that attitude. You want to make a mod by making someone else do all the job, thats even better ;f
And still, this not the right forum, making high poly sculpts dosnt equal making low poly models, ignoring the whole not request forum part.
How about trying a forum that actually does this type of stuff ?
Moddb, polycount, 3d total, all nexuses, to name a few.
This thread is just spam, hope it gets moved or deleted.

wow… got to say, bruggiero did a great job adapting the anime design to a fully rendered model.

yeah, sancez… what slocik is getting at is that the time and effort it would take to do a finished model, most people wouldnt give it away. the bruggiero model, if he were to sell it could cost a couple thousand. what slocik is trying to say is that the time and energy is alot more than you think. he said days… i think hes being a touch modest with his estimate.

but another point to add to his… i doubt anyone would create a fully textured model and just give it away if they didnt know you personally… they may sell you one… but this character is a copyrit character which means whoever makes it wouldnt be able to sell it. i think a fine for copyright infringment runs anywhere from 25 thousand dollars upwards of a couple hundred thousand dollars… basically slocik is trying to save you some trouble.

it may suprise you to know that potentially the game your tring to make a mod for, the characters and environments were probobly made by several people whos work youve seen on this sight. people that frequent this sight have made characters for everything from harry and the hendersons, the terminator series, world of warcraft, iron man, dragon age, oblivion, lord of the rings trilogy, avatar… and on and on. and theyre getting paid well for thier work.

no need to get defensive. hes trying to enlighten you.

I just know that create models and texture is a hard work. But by reading some topic, I saw that some do it just for their beloved, not for money. I was hoping to find someone like that. :smiley:
