A question about HD sculpting and UVs.

I’ve wanted to try HD sculpting on my current model, but one thing that stops me from doing so is that my model doesn’t have any UV’s yet.

Can the model, after HD geometry has been added, still be exported into Maya for UV mapping and then reimported at the lowest subdivision, without loosing the HD sculpting?
As in, is there any difference with the workflow for uv mapping in another program when using HD sculpting?

Also, dose it work to UVmap with GoZ and HDsculpt as well?

I dont want to risk uv mapping for a few hours in Maya and then loosing all the hd sculpting once done, so I thought it safer to ask first.
