Anyway, my first impression looking at her face was that I missed some life.
This could be done by intention, due to style, or just my personal feeling, but a tiny little thing I am missing.
In my point of view.
“newly married Chinese woman, seating in the yard, putting in order her hair, before setting off to visiting her parental home during spring new year.”
I guess for me, it’s this “empty” look of her eyes.
It could be just a little reflection in the eye? A bit more expression on mouth and eyebrows? A tiny bit more asymmetric?
Just very little things.
It could be just me.
But this was my very first impression, before I get lost in these amazing details of this masterpiece.
Btw. The second last clay rendering is touching me more.
