A peek inside my head

Here is something I just finished, a wimsical self portrait.

Imported my low res head into ZBrush where I sculpted and textured it; sent it back to Maya for rendering… surprisingly enough the brain is all modeled by hand… (did it during my time as a medical animator so why not use it?)

The final image res is 2000 x 3120

hope you all like it

comments are always welcomed.

I bet you considered making your skin purer,ie no blemish! But realism steals the show mostly.Great work Doc!:+1:

Nice! It is interesting that someone with such a small brain could do such a nice piece of work.

lol.
Great piece, can you post some wires please? Would be great to see how you assembled this. :+1:

Hi guys! sure I’ll post some wires tonight…
it’s all about layers  The final composite has like 45 layers from the individual elements to bloom layers to peach fuzz everything is separate.

Oh yeah the brain is quite small, done in purpose since it is sort of a whimsical illustration.

Nice! And I think it’s a Brain_RAR or a Brain_ZIP compressed Brain. Those are much smaller

Probably bzip2

Nice Piece, very well done,

Why is it surprising that the brain was modeled by hand:qu:

Usually it’s modeled with a mouse or a tablet stylus…

now your fusing with the software?

A very pleasing image - after seeing the brain I’m worried about what your hiding in your mouth.

I wish I was as pretty as you and so would my wife.

Look forward to more.:+1:

Buying hats must be a bugger. Great image and wonderful texturing. :+1:

LOL you guys are hillarious, I am very happy that you are getting a kick out of it!

Here are some Zwires

Great wires. Always like looking at how others do the base mesh, thanks.

Clean and elegant mesh.
Your professional experience shows in your finish.:+1:

It’s a shame that your main illustration couldn’t be used as a passport photograph. Imagine the faces

…is the more precious thing!
