A lovely bride

Hello. This is my first serious take at zbrush modelling. I’ve had all sorts of problems with this one, but i finished it, finally. It gave me quite a headache. It has more than 34 mil polys and it brought my comp to its knees. Still - i haven’t bothered to learn any advanced techniques or read FAQ or stuff like that - noo - i wanted to get down and dirty… so that’s what i deserved. Lots of stuff like elongated polys, not enough poly density for sculpting etc, plagued me from the beginning. I guess i’ll find answers to those Qs in my next model.

To make it short - well, guys? is it any good? Other than i mentioned, any flaws in this piece worth mentioning? Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

J.

Well, nice work…Cheers
But i would say, since youve termed ‘it’ a bride, it has to be adorned with some weird ‘jewellery’.
And am afraid the gown is over done, perhaps you could leave it a lil simple here and there showing the flow of the head gown.

Otherwise its nice

Keep practising …

first of all, thank you for your comment. Actually, the name came out last. I wanted first for the creature to look mean, but she had a sincere look in her eyes, as if expecting something, so the bride it was  As for the garb, it’s all metal, i’m afraid  I wanted it to be pauldrons and cape-thingy, but since i’ve messed up my polycount big time, i can’t possibly change anything without long COMPACTING MEM messages. I considered red ruby jewles in the eyes of the pauldron dragons and on the chest as well, along with some cloth, but it seems this is as far as this model goes, until i learn how to reduce poly count and keep the details…

Thank you again for your interest and comment! More comments are welcome
