A little issue on creating objects.

I need some advice! Please help if possible.
Ok here is what I am trying to do.

  1. I want to make some clothes for a poser model using Zbrush.
  2. I would like to make the clothing fit and pose with the charcter.
  3. I would like to know if I am going through the proper steps to get there.

Here is what i am doing so far.

Export model of charcter in .obj format from poser. Pull it up into Zbrush and mask off the areas in which I want to extract to make the clothing. Then I do all my sculpting and additions of subtools and such, and then merge them together. i have not painted anything yet, i just use what I did and then export the item back to an obj file to load into poser. Is this the proper steps, and if so, where should I look to find out how to make it conform to the poser charcter as a prop?

Any help would be wonderful, or any directions to links or tutorials that could help me would be gladly appreciated. Thanks…

Well, your ZBrush steps sound right to me. Have you tried doing a search here at ZBC for “Poser”? There are a few people using ZBrush professionally to make clothing for Poser, and some of them have shared advice. For the actual steps to load a model into Poser and make it a conforming object, though, you’ll have to go outside ZBC.
