What happens when you cross a Killer Grahl with a demon…? Why you get a Demonic Grahl. An experiment in wing technology as generously provided by ZBrush 1.5 Beta I have been working on creating wings and the new ZBrush will make this a snap! My experiment continues on to the next phase which will be a large winged creature…
Mentat, that is a “thing” of beauty!!
How exciting!!! Those wings look great! The texture is very skin like. My what big hands he has…the better to ‘grab’ our attention with.
I am in awe over those wings! I’ve been trying and trying to get something look close to that… and failed… and failed… I can’t wait any longer! I’ve gone bonkers!!
Good work Mentat!! U are a zMaster!!! Well done !!
Well, you got them flappers spot on as you said you had buddy,
Well done,
Glen
Wow, that is awesome!
Cool wings on that guy!
Excellent wings! Can’t wait for this next version!
Good work Mentat! I like those big menacious wings on his back.
I was looking something similar to add to my
alien demon picture in progress posted some days ago. You gave me the right inspiration.
Thanks a lot to share.
Very Dynamic wings Mentat7!
I especially appreciate how the membrane between the back and the wing meet toegther along the bone. He has a nice tactile look to him as well.

Very nicely done!
I just have one question:
If, as your first post indicated, they are truly “killer Grahls,” then wouldn’t one that’s gone bad be all sweetness and nice? Maybe cuddling a Tele-Tubbie, for example?
Ooooo guess I should have explained that better in the orginal Grahl picture. You see Grahls are by nature a very timid creature. Having the intellect and disposition of a bunny rabbit they tend to be quite docile. However Grahls that are large enough and tough enough are trained and prepped for arena combat. This training is what brings out the insticts of their other genetic traits…Brahma bulls. Thus you have a Killer Grahl. Now if you have a normal Grahl and genetically combine it with a demon well you get a Demonic Grahl…or a very bad omelet depending on which chromosomes you splice. Hope that clarifies things.
When did you get your “Masters” in ZBrush?
I’ve come to realize I take your work for granted.
Of COURSE a Mentat piece will be outstanding.
Great work!!
