Ok this is top row period. I think someone must have been sleeping. Very well
done. Your work on the eyes just made it stunning. Congradulations.
Hey guys
Thanks a lot hyper:)
I am playing with lights and shaders still… far form final… but i have started animating already. these are some shots from it. No occlusion pass very lil SSS and no post work at all.

Mariolino
Hey:)
nice faces and expression - just a littel bit down in the dumps
Looking real good bro…
Dang mario, looks like Passion has powered you way up Looking really great so far mate. Crit wise the only thing i can even think to suggest is to soften the levator labii a bit as they transition over the maxilla. Apart from that I’m floored at how good this looks. I’m really interested in hearing more about the tech bits of it all.

first one= you’r guilty
second one: I’m thinking about it
thrd: I agree , for the worst …
four= I sleep
Really superb. The expressions are shots from animating, you say? I’d really like to see the video of this once it’s animated. I’m sure it’ll be top-notch.
This rendered subject rivals the stark presence of many Richard Avadon photos I’ve seen. Amazing piece of work.

Hello Mario,
I have been following your progress here and on XSIBase.com. This is one impressive animation and model. I am glad I am the first one to congratulate you on this wonderful animation.
Is this all done using blendshapes? Did you use any kind of skeleton to bake the blendshapes?
I am still learning this stuff and I plan to do something similar (if possible) in one of my courses, so any advice is deeply appreciated.
Keep up the great work,
Takroony (Hamzah)
Hello Takroony,
Thanks a lot for viewing the work:)
The facial animation is 100% blendshapes. I dont like using bones for subtle facial animation for one reason: Bones control a group of points painted with a falloff… so every bone controls a group of points so to speak, which is limiting. If you use blendshapes you have control over every single point per blendshape, that means you can have several very small and subtle deformations connected to one master slider that moves all of them together in a non linear manner. It is much harder to setup that a bone system and it is much harder to manage the system, but the results are more interesting, with much more variation. But that is just my oppinion. Ive seen fantastic bone systems blending with morphs like taron’s ones that has a beatiful subtle variation and muscle contractions…
Try all of them and find the one you adapt better:)
Good luck to you:)
Mario
