Cool Render Christophe and… Great Model Guti!
Wow Christophe!
These experiments drive me crazy… love this non-photo realistic render on Spawn!
Thank you very much!!!
@Piz: Thanks Piz… I’m very excited about these renders: I love these colab!
@Dragon: Hi Dragon! …in these days I have not even started anything new … but I hope to soon begin some new model: there are lots of contests that make me itchy hands! And what’s more I’d like to start using the just installed new version of ZBrush!
By the way… I started to “convert” my blog in English … I hope to freshen up it a little in the coming months
Hey Guti, it’s great to hear from you. I am sure whatever your looking to do, is going to come out AMAZING!! You know, I sent my best friend the link to your Spawn image and, you just blew him away. Let me tell you, when it comes to Spawn, an artist has to be dead on to make Spawn look ‘awsome’ by his standards. Until date, only two artists have done so for him, until you came along. Now he as three favorites- In his own words 'this is the best Spawn image I have ever seen…" He told me they (Todd M. etc) should use this image of yours on their next cover!! I HIGHLY AGREE. I hope you posted it over at www.spawn.com
in their forums.
Like you, I am starting on a new creation (I have put my purple hotrod concept on hold for now, waiting on the new ‘QRemesher’. The tool is to large in MB’s and I need to retopo it to bring the file size down-I have decimated some parts, but don’t like the TOPO LAYOUT it leaves-. And I don’t want to do so in ZBrush right now. To be honest, I started it wrong. I have learned much from it though).
Right on with making your website in english as well, that will help the rest of us that speak english.
Anywho, I (and I am sure everyone else) am looking forward to your next ‘master piece’-
Oh, I too am loving everthing xtrm3d is doing to your work. I like his ‘styles’ on your sculpt.
Best.
Ha, just went back to your site… PERFECT!! Right on, now I can follow you here or there- And incase anyone else missed Guti’s website link earlier in this post, here it is again (you have to check it out, just amazing work!!): http://www.nonacaso.net/wp/
Just popped in to say your Spawn model is magnificent. small_orange_diamond
REALLY excellent work!!You don’t need to change the language on your site by the way, let Google translator do that!
finished my rendering of this amazing model ,
thanks to Augusto for his trust and generosity .
decimation master down to around 2 million poly
rendered in modo 601
I love this last render! Great work!
Hi Chris!
You did an awesome job!!!
Love each “sketch experiment” from the firsts with zBrush & postproc to the last with modo… but these last renders are awesome killing renders!
The feel and the atmosphere is unique and litterally goes to wedding with the model.
I will keep these images for a special gallery on my blog and i look forward for other colab in the future.
Thank you very much!
No much time to start some new model… but I renewed a little my portfolio with some new zBrush renders.
Here a sample:
Other renders are available on my portfolio on my website.
The last night I launched on the same model my zBrush macro in order to make a “stereo” turntable.
Here the result:

If you cross your eyes you could see it in 3D… otherwise you could check THIS VIDEO on youtube in order to see this in 3D without crossing your eyes.
In these next days I think that I will run the macro on other model, so in the near future I will post more of these “stereo” turntables.
Oh shoot this is awesome! I’m amazed by all the details you put into this piece - I just made a turtle with some simple items and only can imagine how much work you put into this model.
Great concept and execution!
Thank you very much VISEOne!
indeed there are many elements … but here at zBrushCentral I have seen some really incredible work in this sense.
In the previous post I forgot to say that in my site I have made a “making Of” of this piece… it is available here
Haha! That is a masterpiece. I love it. small_orange_diamond
just went through your MAKING OF - so awesome and so much to learn from. Thanks for sharing!!!
Ah, good to see you post again Guti. Ya, I remember your original work on this one, it’s the one that drew my eye to your stuff in the first place. Very cool. Best.
This is Brilliant! Can you explain more about your ZBrush Macro to create the 3D vid?
Another 3D Video Turntable!

and here the same video in 3D format.
Tomorrow will be the turn of Iron Fist
@zber2: Thankyou very much zber2!
@VISEone: I’m glad that you liked the Making Of :), Thank you!
@Dragon: Thanks Dragon… I owe you one! I’ve submitted my Spawn to Spawn guys and after some days of silences they requested me portfolio and resume: now I’m crossing my fingers!
@SolidSnakexxx: Thanks for the kind comment on my blog :)!!! I tried to make my macro a little less raw… now I transformed it in a mini plugin, please see below
STEREO TURNTABLE PLUGIN
I transformed the macro that I maked for these turntables in a mini plugin: You can download it from HERE.
You have to place the file “StereoTurntable.txt” under your folder Zbrush4 R3\ZStartup\ZPlugs and you will see that under the menu “Movie” there will be a subpalette with some options.
-You can set the number of frame of the turntable (from 1 to 360)
-You can set the 3D effect (more pronuced more 3D effect more headache… The default value seem to be OK)
-You can turn on/off the BPR render
Basically, when you press the “Make Stereo Turntable” button, the plugin request you the name for a filename the it will start on doing 2 turntable renders:
One in order to render the view of right eyes, the other in order to render the view of the left eyes.
Please be careful and be sure to have the PERSPECTIVE active on your tool, otherwise you will not have the Stereo 3D effect.
The plugin will save one file for each frame rendered…
So if you gave “STEREOTT” as filename for the turntable you will find these files:
“STEREOTT_R_000.bmp”
“STEREOTT_R_001.bmp”
“STEREOTT_R_002.bmp”
…
“STEREOTT_R_359.bmp”
“STEREOTT_L_000.bmp”
“STEREOTT_L_001.bmp”
“STEREOTT_L_002.bmp”
…
“STEREOTT_L_359.bmp”
From these I use “Avisynth” in order to obtain the two format of 3D video (the cross eye type and the standard side by side).
I will put a minitutorial on my blog when I will find the time.
I hope to be able to refine a bit the plugin in the neare future… in the meantime anyone could do his test as the plugin code is visible to all.
Hope this could be helpful for some interesting experiment.
Great stuff. Top Row material.
OMG !! I want a Kaneda like that (action figure) for myself!
Really good!
You owe me nothing my friend. It’s just that I hate to see REAL talent wasted. You should be recognized for your years of study and hopefully, paid well for it. I wish you all the best, and hope that the ‘Spawn Folks’ know they are dealing with a very talented artist such as yourself.
And thanks for sharing your 3D, turntable plugin! Too awsome of you-
so much eye candy. master pieces
your works are so awesome!!
