Insane number of detail. Great.
This is one of my favorite tuts. I have been trying to do it. I have started over two times and have gotten up to texturing it but I still am not happy with my results. I will try again. After seeing your beautiful work I am inspired to keep trying.
Thanks for showing it.

Well I’m no stranger to Z…but as I follow
this tut and get to the first adaptive skin,
my x symmetry just doesn’t work … I can’t model symmetrically at all…does anyone have a clue as to what is going on? I modeled the zspheres at draw size 1 and made sure to use the two tone feature to match the tut…I’m perplexed…any help would be appreciated…here’s the zsphere and the initial adaptive skin…thanks!

And cool tut in the guide
i was just doing this tutorial( thank you by the way, creature is awesome !). but i got stock on this because i saved the model/tool its about 800k polys, and when wanted to work on it more, cause of the size and my crappy PC, i cant load it, ZBrush just crashed and quits on me every time. What should I do now?
hi,
I can’t help you with this model Volk23, but for future reference…specially with low mem systems…I had one for a long long time and learned a few lessons!!!
First off…take the model back down to subd level 1 before saving as a tool. Fear not…all your subd’s and levels are saved but you save both in disk space and ability to reload. The compromise is that you might have to wait a second or two when upping levels while zbrush recalculates them…no big deal really. Considering the alternative…
save at highest…have zbrush try to calculate highest subd and hundreds of thousands or millions of polys off the bat…with low mem…its probably gonna crash…so work lost til ya up memory or find super computer to load it on.
the lesser of two evils…I take the …save disk space and know my model will load everytime option.
If you know someone with more memory maybe you can send them the ztl and they can load it then save at lowest and send it back for ya ?
great! I didnt know this, i dont know anyone to re-save it for me, but its ok, i do have it saved in a prev. stage of work, in less poly count, i’ll use that and just redo last parts i worked on. I just didnt know what to do when i get to this hi poly count. thank you.
Oh… my system have only 512Mb
but i continue on my very first experience on ZBrush…
a girl…
for now, my PC and ZB are working very fine…
Superb your work!
Fantastic
