The R8 interface needs some scaling down in order to function correctly at 1600 x 900 resolution. Go to Preferences > interface > Ui > Button Size, and decrease it until things fit better. You will need to restart the program to see changes.
The position where the Zmodeler menu is appearing is weird though…it should appear wherever your cursor is. If the downscaling doesnt fix it, I don’t know whats going on.
The Polysphere listing that appears when you use the Zmodeler brush is the IMM viewer. Please read the first post of the official R8 troubleshooting thread stickied at the top of this page for information about it.
as spyndel says if it the button size doesn’t fix th eissue,
switch to another type of brush and how behave the regular right click menu popup ?
Do you use a tablet, or anything ? if yes unplug it, and test the zmodeler brush with the mouse device.
also does it happen when you hit the keyboard space bar ? that hotkey popup the zmodeler tool picker.
Try to disable/re-enable “rightclick menu popup” in “preference : interface : navigation”.
900 px is below the minimum system requirements for ZBrush so you may always have problems. Your button size is clearly too large for your screen though, so changing that may fix the problem.
