3ds Max (2018) GoZ still opens new instance + scaling issue?

I’ve had these 2 issues in the past but I could never get them resolved:

1. GoZ from Zbrush into Max 2018 would just open a new instance of Max of an empty scene

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-modeling/goz-opens-new-instance-of-max/td-p/7284116 is the closest thing I’ve found and no one seems to know what to do still. Some suggested it’s an Autodesk issue but regardless, I’ve yet to see any promising comments.

2. The scaling was always off between max and zbrush

I’d have to Unify for everything in ZB to work properly but reimporting into max would make objects really small. I’ve been stumbling into posts I’ve made half a year ago about these issues and it still doesn’t seem like either of these have a solution unfortunately. Not trying to sound flippant but did max2018 users just silently fix the issue or implicitly agree not to use GoZ? I’ve searched for solutions the entire day without any success. :cry:

I don’t think scale between both is wrong. It never has been, in my experience.
