Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share a project I worked on a couple of years ago for an exhibition in Queensland, Australia.
I had to sculpt and replicate a life size female Cassowary and her young, which was to be 3d printed and CNC machined to full scale. The main sculpture and textures were created in Zbrush, & then chopped up and printed on a Formlabs Form 2 3D Printer. Each piece was hollowed out and had keys/plugs to assist with assembly and weight.
Heres also a break down of the 3d printed parts for both the cassowary and the chicks (we CNC milled the body as it was too large to print)
Hope you guys found it interesting
, if you have any questions about printing let me know.
