I’ve been doing 2D graphics and concept art my whole life, but recently I decided to move forward and learn 3D. Years ago I was dabbling with Maya, but I don’t remember a thing, so I can be considered a total beginner.
Without further explanation, I would like to do THIS kind of things:

As you see they differ in styles completely, but I’ll ask anyway: which software(s)/tools do I need to create this kind of stuff?
I would love to do both high poly (pixar style) and low poly (for games). I’d like to achieve those effects using as few tools as possible.
What I do know is that I’ll probably use Quixel suite for texturing, but that’s all.
Will ZBrush do the job? Or not exactly?
I have no clue. Are there any tutorials for noobs about mere 3D theory? ;p
