3.5R3 Documentation?

Hi …
I know that the installation of 3.5R3 carried two pdf files on our machines, and though it is good to have a compilation of different files/articles in one place now - the innards of these pdf’s are dating back as far as version 2.

Nothing wrong about that, but there is no information for some (all?) of the newly implemented changes in version 3.5R3.

So trying to figure out (just one example) what this little brush icon within the SubTools exactly is doing??

But - there is the possibility that I get this wrong: maybe it is some kind of a competition >> look for new stuff, find a description for it and send this to Pixologic. The one that finds the most far fetched solution wins??

I think we need a manual that deserves the name. Soon!
Thanks for reading
Z

Most of the new changes are dealt with here:

http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/What's_New_in_ZBrush_3.5

… thank you!

But - it seems that “most” should be replaced with “some”.
It is true that every bit of new information is worth looking for, but I do not believe that scattering of information is a real substitute for an illustrated handbook.

Leaving cryptic icons all over the UI is somewhat counterproductive to the expressed goal of Pixologic - to remove barriers from a creative process.

Happy puzzling,
Z

All the content of the ZBrush 3.5 What’s new PDF is only about new features, nothing is about version 2 or 3.1. Are you sure you are refereing to the good PDF file?

… just received a mail about an answer to my post.
For unknown reasons it seems to have disappeared, so

>>>All the content of the ZBrush 3.5 What’s new PDF is only about new features, nothing is about version 2 or 3.1. Are you sure you are refereing to the good PDF file?<<<

Well, Totyo, I am or have been referring to the two pdf files that came with the installation of 3.5R3. And, both are compilations of articles that have been around since version 2 (in part).

What I mean: even Russian developers (and just a mere handful of them) can manage to hand out a suiting handbook for their product.
Must be the fact that this is free software?

A small statement from any official would help, perhaps?

Well - I could give some excuses why I did not find the material, but in the end it all amounts to the same result:

I have been wrong!

Every bit of information is where it should be. Sorry, but **** happens.

Still looking for this brush icon inside the SubTools, though.
