(3.5) Zbrush Export Scale problem

I’m having an issue with Zbrush where when I export my model, it always imports into another 3d app super small, and centered at the 0.0 point (IE humanoid, would be feet below 0.0, upper body above it.)

I tried importing in XSI and Max and had the same result.

Changing the export scale in Zbrush has no effect on the mesh when imported.

Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn’t.

How can I fix this? I usually would use a workflow of exporting a mid level mesh and retopoing in Max and reimporting to zbrush, but with these issues, I cannot do this because they will never line up properly.

You might read though this thread, and see if any of the solutions within address your issue.

Its broken, You will have to go back to 3.1.
If you plan on exporting alot you should stick with 3.1.
Its messed up in 3.5.

i ve had exactly this problem.

if you look at the scale in your top subtool you will probably find there are numbers in there ( ie not 1 or 0 ), if u check the sub-tool you are trying to export you ll probably find that it is at 1 for scale and 0 for the translation offsets

just copy the numbers over and it ll work fine

dont know if its a bug they ll fix but it is annoying

^ this works. It’s in the tool ‘export’ sub-menu
