3.5 topology question

Hi,

I’ve been using 3.5 for a few days now and I’m retopologizing in zbrush. I haven’t seen this mentioned yet, but in the past, when I wanted to click off a point and de-acitvate all the points on my new mesh so it won’t draw across all the faces, I would just click off the model in a blank spot in the viewport and that would work just fine. At that point, I could just click on whichever polygon or part of the model I wanted to start building on again and continue.

For some reason, when I try and click off the the new topology now, it’s REALLY stubborn. I click like maybe… 10 times and then it’s finally de-activated. Any thoughts on this? I didn’t have this issue until 3.5.

Outside of that, some very cool new features and I’m sure there are workarounds for everything that might need it.

One thing I should have mentioned. This only seems to happen when I’m retoping a mesh made with the new z-spheres. Have any of you had this issue and have a workaround?

Are you retopo-ing with perspective turned on? It doesnt work very well in perspective mode…the targeting is all off.

Are you retopo-ing a model at too high a level of subdivision? That also decreases performance in retopo mode…better to use a mid level of sub-D…just enough to get the proper form.

Just a couple ideas.
