3.5 R3 polish brush freezes , crashes ZB

I didn’t see any mention of polish brushes freezing in 3.5 R3, but did find the thread on lazy mouse freezes here - http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=75919&page=6&pp=15

Might the two be connected somehow ? I’m having constant freezes using the polish brush on subtool assemblies of 1.5 mil polys total. In 3.5 R3 polish brush stops working after a few minutes, switch to move or simple brush and all is fine, switch back to polish or clay tube in my tests causes ZB to disappear completely. Wanted to post this in case anyone out there has any ideas or similar experiences. I did submit a ticket and added my tablet / driver info as the lazy mouse freeze thread suggested.

System specs -
WXP 64
4GB ram
Raid 5 with three physical drives

yes I have run into the polish brush causing crashes.

I usually use polish brush plus lazy mouse and it seems to crash often. am able to spot the trouble before crash after about five min of working with the brush, if I drag polish across the tool and nothing happens, I know I need to save as it will likely crash shortly afterwards.
