3.5 r2 hd texture problem

Hi, I have this model i’m texturing in HD geometry it has about 55 millions polys. I’m using a brush with spray, alpha spray and texture, no zad. when i’m in “A” mode, everyting is ok, i have a AUV map ( i tried 2500 and 8192. I have Flat material and initially the model was filled with white. when i get out of “a” and press new from polypaint i get a broked texture part ok, part pixelated… daoes any one, encountered this ?

I am not getting this issue. When you are selecting New from Polypaint do you have your mesh on the highest level in regular geo and HD geo. In order to capture the HD polypaint you have to be on the highest level for both settings. Can you do a test with the dog. Put your regular geo at level 4 and then put your HD level at 4. You should have a mesh that is about 130 million.

Do a test for that and post here what you find.

i have my model on highest level on both geometries. an the top part of the mesh in the pic is ok. i think i’ll try to paint it again and see wat happens … it’s just that i spend a hole hour painting it :frowning:

Most likely your uv’s aren’t ok …you should make a good unwrap and import it over .Automatically the program assigns different resolution to your body parts. This is my opinion.
